Commitment to Accessibility
Tamar Center is committed to providing digital accessibility for people with disabilities and strives to provide a comfortable and available user experience for the general public, regardless of abilities or assistive technologies required.
We operate in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.
Accessibility Standards
Our website was built in accordance with the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at AA compliance level, including:

- Alternative Text: All relevant images include descriptive alternative text
- Time-based Media: Videos include captions and scripts (when relevant)
- Adaptable Content: Content can be presented in different ways without losing meaning
- Color Contrast: Minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for regular text and 3:1 for large text

- Hierarchical heading structure (H1-H6) for comfortable reading with screen readers

- Text enlargement capability up to 200% without loss of functionality

Parts Still Not Fully Accessible
We continuously work to improve accessibility. The following parts may be challenging for some users:

- Interactive maps – Text alternative provided with arrival instructions
- Embedded videos from external platforms – We strive to add captions
- Social media content – Dependent on the hosting platform’s accessibility
PDF Files and Documents
- Legacy documents – We are working on converting them to accessible format
- Complex forms – We provide an alternative through direct contact

- Problem description – What exactly doesn’t work or isn’t accessible
- Problem location – Which page or area of the website
- Browser and device – Which browser and operating system you’re using
- Assistive technology – If you’re using a screen reader or other assistive tool
- Contact details – For response
Example Inquiry:
“Hello, I’m using NVDA screen reader and cannot access the contact form on the main page of the website. The screen reader doesn’t recognize the form fields. I’m using Chrome browser on Windows 11. I would appreciate help. Thank you.”

- Initial response: Within 3 business days
- Temporary solution (if required): Within 7 business days
- Final solution: Within 30 business days (according to problem complexity)
Handling Process
- Receipt and confirmation – Confirmation of inquiry receipt within 24 hours
- Initial review – Problem identification and urgency assessment
- Temporary solution – If required, we’ll provide an alternative way to access information
- Final solution – Problem fix on the website or provision of permanent alternative
- Update and confirmation – Update on handling completion
