Tamar High School is a regional high school for sciences and excellence, specializing in quality education rooted in the values of science and technology. The high school was established in partnership with the Branco Weiss school network to promote STEM education. The institution is equipped with advanced research laboratories, computer classrooms, and learning spaces that encourage collaborative work and creative thinking.
The high school serves more than 200 Bedouin students in grades 9-12 who come from all Bedouin communities throughout the Negev, providing them with quality education at the highest level.
The school is located in the Idan Negev Industrial Park, at the entrance to the city of Rahat. This location places the institution at the heart of a developing area that combines industrial and educational activities, creating a unique learning environment that bridges the academic and practical worlds.
In addition to STEM studies at the school, the school staff supports its students holistically in order to prepare them for the significant stage of their adult lives and their integration into academia and society in Israel.
Personal mentoring system – Each small group of students is accompanied by a dedicated mentor throughout the four years of study, both academically and socially.
Close cooperation with students’ parents – The school maintains ongoing contact with parents through a parent committee, as well as through regular communication between mentors and families.
